A hiking adventure in the French Alps #ihikedMBVwithTSG
The itinerary
We will take the bus from Geneva international airport to Chamonix. The drive is about 1h30mins.
Chamonix lies in the heart of the Alps, with a charming, laid back vibe overlooking the impressive peak of the Mont Blanc.
We will have the time to explore the center and buy some equipment if needed.
Today's destination is the beautiful Lac Blanc..on a clear day, the Mont Blanc is reflected perfectly on the water.
Our adventure will start by taking a cable car to the starting point of the hike.
The hike requires some effort but you will be rewarded with sweeping views of the entire Mont-Blanc Massif and the Aiguilles Rouges.
After taking the cable car to the starting point of the hike we will start trekking towards the peak of Le Brevent where you will be able to enjoy the Mont Blanc massif just in front of you. The hike can a bit challenging, with some parts covered with snow, but it is a rewarding effort, full of picture perfect sceneries.
Refuge du Nid d'aigle is one of the most beautiful mountain huts in the region. Its semi circular architecture provides a panoramic view of the mountains.
After taking the cable car to the starting point, we will begin our hike.
The trail starts in an alpine forest then through vast green fields with the occasional cow, and then we steadily make our way uphill to reach the refuge.
Today we will be covering one of the most beautiful trails in the Mont Blanc Valley...But before starting our hike, we will take the cable car all the way up to "Aiguille du Midi" which is situated at 3842m and offers stunning views over the Mont Blanc peak.
We then descend part way with a the cable car.. and start our hike from Plan de refuge all the way to Montenvers. It's a stunning hike.
Once we arrive at Montenvers, we will visit the ice cave before taking the mountain tram back to Chamonix.
Another day full of breathtaking views.
This day we will be covering some sections of the famous Tour du Mont Blanc. After taking the cable car, we will hike towards Col de Blame. From there you can see Switzerland on one side ,and France on the other .
We continue our trek towards refuge Albert 1er along the side of the mountain.
The last ascent to refuge albert 1er is very steep and could be closed due to thick snow.
On this day, you will have the opportunity to choose between various different activities in the valley.
From paragliding to white water rafting, or rock climbing- an adrenaline rush is guaranteed!
We leave the valley with incredible memories and say goodbye to the beautiful Alps.. a la prochaine Chamonix!
